THE motto of the Jesus Centres is “a place where everyone is valued”. At the Northampton Jesus Centre, they were recently able to show one of their friends how valued he is, and to introduce him to God.
Recently, a man who suffered from alcohol and homelessness problems, (and was a regular visitor at the Jesus Centre drop-in) attended church and felt God talking to him about faith.
This led him to make a decision to ask for help; within a short space of time he gave up drinking and started staying in the local night shelter. He also applied for a place at Emmaus House, (a community that supports homeless people) and was accepted. It’s great to see him move there and begin a new life.
